About Me

I am happy to be the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) here at Taft. This 2022-2023 school year will be the start of my 6th year in the Redwood City School District. Although I was born and raised in South San Francisco, I, myself, was an English Language Learner and received speech therapy as an elementary aged student. My SLP & ELL teachers were a huge influence for me and one of the reasons why I became an SLP. I went to CSU Sacramento for both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. I enjoy trying out new food and trying out different milk tea/ boba spots with my wife and son.

Fun fact: My last name Buhay (pronounced Boo-hi) means “life” in Filipino.
