About Me

I am a reading specialist here at Taft School providing additional intervention for students struggling to learn to read. I’ve worked at Taft for 5 years. Previously, I worked in the RCSD Staff Development department for 6 years and taught at Roosevelt for 16 years. I have my California Reading Specialist Certification, a Master’s Degree in literacy, and National Board Certification in early and middle childhood literacy. As you can see, reading and inspiring readers is my passion. In my spare time, I love to travel with my husband and daughters, spending time in nature, hiking, painting, and of course reading! I love the Taft community and am so happy to have it be my work home.
