Extended Day Programs
Boys and Girls Club
Taft partners with Boys and Girls Club to provide a free of cost program to families after-school. This program offers snacks, homework help, math and language arts lessons, life skills and enrichment classes and recreation.
Program runs Monday through Friday from dismissal to 6:00pm for 1st through 5th grade and dismissal to 4:30 pm for Kindergarten.

The Pal Center
Taft also partners with PAL which is a community based program open to students across the district. Students Kindergarten through 5th grade are eligible to enroll. Program runs Monday through Friday from dismissal to 6:00 pm. PAL consists of different enrichment activities like art, robotics, drumming, and sports.
We also offer other tutoring programs after school. Information about these programs are sent home to specific grade levels.
Sports
Sports is an important avenue for children to develop skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership. Taft partners with The Pal Center to provide sports for boys and girls such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, golf, & baseball. Students in 4th & 5th grade are able to join teams throughout the year. Please visit PAL for a full sport schedule and to register.
